Well what a great afternoon and night of fun, food and dancing.

The Dancers’ Club Spanish Ball went off with a bang in the afternoon with Pre-dinner drinks and finger food,. There was matadors, zorror, spanish peasants and beautiful ladies all dress to excite.

The Congo line dance was a hit and the Segue team gave a great preformance for all to enjoy.
I will be posting photos as soon as they are ready.

On another note, remember The Dancers; Club will be moving to the Penrith Senior Citizen Hall commencing with our first social on the 7th of Februrary. Also we have added a bit of extra time at the start before the lesson at 3 pm. The time is for anyone who need or would like to get extra assistance with any dances or just extra time to practice. The time for this is between 2pm and 2.45pm before the lesson starts. Neil and I would be available.

Well this is the last social for the year before the December Ball. We have a great turnout.
.Most people revise and pickup the Roberta Saunter quite well.

There is tickets available for the Ball so invite friends and family to come along and enjoy the event. Tickets are available from Peter.

There will be some changes happening in the new year . Will keep you posted when the imformation is available.

While both Neil and I am away , Peter and David will be looking after the music. There will be no lesson in October. Just a social starting at 4pm. I am sure they will do a great job.

Tickets are now on sale for the December Ball. This year's theme is Spanish. Tickets are available from Peter . Members $45, Guest $ 50 . A flyer is available . Just ask Peter or Michael for one.

In November, we will be showing the Roberta Saunter again. If you have done it before and is a little rusty, this is a good time to revise it before the ball.

In September while Neil is away I will be revising the Anna-Lisa Waltz. Some have already done it before but a revision would be a good thing. For those who have not done it before, you will be able to learn a new dance.
Keep the mind active and the feet moving.

I will also be away for the October dance so there will be no lesson that month but someone will be filling in to do the music so the October dance will be all social.

A great turn out this month. Our seating arrangementi is now back to normal and our dance floor is getting there. So there is no excuse to get up and enjoy a few social dance. We also had a couple of apprentice DJ doing the music the couple of month which is great, And may I add they are doing a fine job.

Next month we will be showing a new dance.

Just a reminder that membership renewal is now due. The cost is $10 for the year and the first dance is included. Our membership is steadily increasing.

We are starting to get our dancefloor back. With the opening of the new section of Winsdor RSL, some of the furniture have been moved. By our next dance we should have our full dancefloor back. We had a record number of members and guest staying for dinner the last couple of months. The food must be ok.


A quick reminder. There will be no dance on the 7th June due to the Queen's Birthday long weekend. The next dance will be one week later on the 14th June.

Another great turnout for this month.

The Dancers’ Club Silver Plus Ball was the conclusion to a great year. The ladies dresses looked fantastic and the guys polished up pretty well too.. There was plenty of prizes, food, and dancing throughout the night.

Well, that's it for this year.
Only the Formal Ball in December and and the year will be over then 2015 will be upon us.
Next year we will only be doing one lesson which will allow more time for members and guests to enjoy a bit more social dancing. Neil will look after the lesson side but I still be around if anyone needs help with a particular dance or dance figure. Just ask and I will help you with what I can.

Many thanks to all the members who have supported the club through the years making the social dance a fun, friendly and enjoyable place to be for members and guest alike.

Remember there is no dance in Janurary. The next one is on the 1st of Feburary, 2015

Another great turn out for this months' social. Tickets for the Formal Ball in December are fast selling out so get yours before they all go. Tickets are limited so don't miss out.

In November I will be revising the Brazilian Samba in the first lesson while Neil will be showing a new dance in the second lesson, the Honeysuckle Waltz..
Also I announced that from next year there will be only one lesson instead of two. This will allow for some extra time to do a bit more social dancing. Neil will be doing the lesson but I will be available at the same time if anyone needs help on a personal basic with a particular dance.

What a great afternoon of dancing and fun. We had the biggest attendance so far and just on 40 people stay for dinner afterwards. The Shadow Salsa was revised as well as the Roberta Saunter. Next months dance is one week earlier on the 31st August due the Father’s Day falling on the first Sunday in September.

Information for the upcoming December Ball will be available from next month. Until then it doesn’t mean you can’t start organising your tables of 10.  Just pass on the names for your tables to me and I can start reserving them for you. There will be a cap on the number of attendance so book early.

Great turnout this month and very positive feedback from new members. The Micaela Salsa went down well. It didn't take long for people to pick it up. I will be revising it each month so we can do it at the end of year ball and hopefuuly include non dancer in the fun train. The Argentine Tango was also revised and a few problems was sorted out.Numbers continue to increase for dinner afterward. I'm sure the club dinning people are very happy.

Next month we hope to announce some details about the December Ball. Theme, cost , time, etc.

For this months lessons , I concentrated on revision. Tango, Bachata and Anna-Lisa Waltz. I think we all need revision at some stage to tidy up a few things.

A new section is now available to members. The new section called "Dance Videos" is a collection of Youtube video of the dances shown. Members can access these videos through the secure section. To obtain the current password , contact me .

Our membership continue to increase and it's great to see new people enjoying themselve. A warm welcome to all the new members.

During the month of June I will doing the music for the social and also both the lessons. I will be revising the Tango and Bachata for the first class and then revising the Anne-Lisa Waltz in the second class and if time permits going over the Alpha Waltz.

The April monthly dance was moved forward 1 week to the 30th March . The seating arrangement is now sorted and can accommodate for future increase in membership. Coffee and tea is now also provided for members and visitors. A big thank you to the Windsor RSL club for providing the Coffee and Tea and also for setting up the tables and seating.

A new dance, the Roberta Saunter was shown this month. A very warm welcome to all the new members.

Great numbers again this month for both dance and dinner.
Shortage of seat and table are no longer a problem and their is plenty of room for all. We have also open up the dance floor to accomodate for the increase in numbers. The 2 lesson went well while Class 1 did the Balmoral Blues, Class 2 did The Saga Waltz which is a lovely dance.

As always a very warm welcome to our new members.

Please note that the next monthly social will be a week earlier than normal on the 30th March. This is because the venue is not available on the first week of April,

We had the biggest turnout for our monthly social dance so far . Apologies for the temporary shotage of seating. The club didn't take long in helping sort that out quickly and we do appreicate that. We will open up to the larger dance floor if required.

42 members and guest staying afterwards for dinner. A great turnout.

Well. What a great way to finish off the year !.

The Dancers’ Club Masquerade Ball was a roaring success. The ladies with their beautiful outfits and the gentlemen wasn't too bad either. There was penty of prizes, food, and dancing.


A little sparkling wine to start the afternoon served with some nibbles.



Richard & Robyn took out the Dance-A-Thon torphy while Geoff & Helene took out the runners up title.


A hugh number of people got up to do the Circle Waltz and that was a lot of fun with Robyn and Greig collecting the prizes at the end.


Norma and Barbara celebrate their birthdays with the cutting of the cake .

We had the biggest turnout to date this month with everyone learning the Circle Waltz for the upcoming ball and then revising the Engagement Waltz afterward. It would be great if we can get 100 to 120 people up to do the Circle Waltz at the ball.
A reminders for people who have not yet brought tickets for the ball, we are almost at capacity so don't miss out if you intend on coming.

We also have quite a few new members this month. A big warm welcome to all the new members this month.

Thanks to the volunteers who made cakes and sweets this month and a big happy birthday to Colin and Henny.

Over 30 people stayed for dinner and enjoy the fine food at the club as well as enjoying each others company.

Well, that all for this year except for the Masquerade Ball to come in December.
Remember there is no dance in January, the next monthly dance will be in February. I will do a broadcast to members the Thursday before the dance as usual.

Bachata and West Coast Swing was the favour of the month as far as lessons was concern. Something a little different from the normal dances.
Peter celebrated his birthday this month. Thanks to Lorraine & Anne for making the cakes.

We had a fantastic turn out this month for both the lessons and the social.  Over 30 members stayed for dinner after the dance.

Beverley and Stelio celebrated their birthdays this month.

Thanks to Margaret and Dianna for making the cakes and also to Gerry who alway surprises with his extras contribution of tasty delights.

Next month's Class 2 lesson has been change from The Carousel to A West Coast Swing Sequence at Neil's request. Members were quite happy to go along that.
If you like to do either or both lesson, please be there on time. The lessons will commence on time.

A couple of announcements.

Firstly,
The Waltz in Time Against Leukaemia Dance 2013 is now on again.

It's for a great cause, raising money in aid of the Leukaemia Foundation.

Doors open at 6.30pm

Harold Corr Community Hall.

Beginners lesson went well and the Chilli Cha Cha revision was a success. Everyone pick it up after 30 minutes which allow time to do something a little different. We did a bit of Merengue and everyone had a great time doing it. It was great fun.

Neil will be back next month to take up the music duties again and also he will be doing the 2nd lesson which is the Honky Tonk starting at 3.45pm. A fun fast dance. For the beginners in the 1st lesson starting at 3pm, it will be the Anna-Lisa Waltz. I will be doing that one.

If you like to do the lessons , please be there on time. The lessons will commence on time.

The new format for the lessons went very well. It allow beginners the option to do the next lesson if they fell confident enough. Numbers was a little down this month but as always everyone had a good time and the meals at the club was up to a high standard.

I will be revising the Chilli Cha Cha next month. We will slow down the pace and tidy up a few issues some menbers are having .

April and May have come and gone so fast and we are continuously getting new dancers joining up. That’s great to see. We had a great turn out both months and 30 people stayed for dinner in May.

The new format for the lessons will commence in June.
Beginner class                : 3.00pm to 3.45pm
Intermediate class          : 3.45pm to 4.45pm
Social will start from 5.00pm as normal.
Members and visistors are both welcome to join in on either or both lessons. A good opportunity to brush up on some basics.

Neil & Anne will be going to USA for a 2 month holiday soon. During that period I will be taking over the music and lessons. If anyone wants to have a go at DJ, let me know. I will guide you along.
The program for the next 2 months will be posted soon and I will hand out some programs as well.

Also I will be filling in for Neil on the Monday night lessons at Kingswood if anyone would like to come. The time for that is 7.00pm-9.00pm. A program is available for the Monday lessons.

Another great turn out for this month. The 2 separate classes for Immediate and Beginners are working out very well.
To our new members and visitors, a warm welcome.

Our guest DJ this month was Dawn and like Dave last month did an excellent job.  Dawn is definitely prettier than Neil.  Neil better watch it or he might loose his job!

Many stay after the social dance for dinner and everyone had a great time. Great food and great company. That's all for now .

The first Sunday dance of the year have come and gone. We had a fantastic turn out for the dance, members and visitors alike. A warm welcome to our visitors.
There were two simultaneous classes held, one for beginners and the other for Intermediate. It was the first time we try this approach and everything went very well.
We also start to have a guest DJ for an hour or so and David was the first to put his hand up and did a great job.

Many stay after the social dance for dinner and everyone had a great time.

2013 is here and I hope you all had a great and safe new year.
I would imagine you are all ready to dance the year away. This year we will be concentrating on revision of dances we have learn over the last year. Neil and I will be holding 2 classes at the same time on ocassions when there is a demand. There will be a class for people who have danced before and like to polish up on a particular dance and a second class for beginners if required to get them going so they can enjoy their dancing.

I will also try to add some dance videos to the secure site. This will allow members to view dances and practice the moves. Contact me for the secure password.

See you all there ! Don't forget to bring your dancing shoes.

PS. If you want to more dancing and who doesn't, don't foget Heather holds a dance at Rooty Hill RSL on Wednesday night and Saturday Nights. There are lessons on both night.

The Dancersclub Dinner / Dance Ball


Well, the Dancersclub Dinner / Dance have come and gone for 2012.
What a fantastic time it was with a party atmosphere enjoyed by all. What more can you ask for, great venue, great company,excellent food with a few bubbly drinks to boot and lots of dancing and activities through the night. The venue was filled to capacity.
Some members just couldn't wait and even arrived early !

What can I say about the Christmas table decorations. It was amazing !!!
Congratulations to table 2 for winning this years followed closely by table 4.

A big thank you for all who help set up the venue and also tor everyone for pitching in to clean up and help help up. That's what the club is all about.

On another note,
The Moruya Dance is on again in January 2013. It will be at the same hall as last year. Organised by Christine & Malcolm who made a special trip up to join in on the Dancersclub Dinner / Dance fun.

Place : Moruya RSL Hall on Saturday 19th January.
Time : Start 2pm and finish at 7pm.
Dinner for those who would like to join in. It would be great to see you there.
